We're working with a well-established, growing construction firm to hire a Project Accountant to join their accounting team. This is a great opportunity for a sharp, mid-level construction accountant who wants stability, strong mentorship, and a clear path forward.
Why this role stands out
This company is known for a strong, people‑first culture and long‑term career growth. You’ll report to a Controller who’s been promoted internally, so there’s a clear, proven path for growth over time for someone who wants to grow into senior‑level responsibility.

- Manage project accounting support across active jobs, partnering closely with project teams
- Handle AIA/progress billings, including lien waivers and billing schedules as needed
- Maintain and report on WIP / job cost activity, ensuring accurate project financials and clean documentation
- Support month‑end close activities tied to projects (costs, accruals, reconciliations, reporting)
- Act as a proactive, customer‑facing internal partner - responsive, organized, and able to keep things moving
Ideal Experience
- 3–5 years of construction accounting experience (commercial or residential)
- Strong experience with AIA billing and WIP / job cost
- Procore experience strongly preferred (Sage 300 a plus)
- Strong communicator who can work well with ops/project teams
