Job summary

CFS in Greater Boston, MA is seeking a Project Accountant to join its Construction Finance & Accounting team. You will partner closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Finance, supporting projects from setup through closeout.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project accounting experience.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AIA billing, job costing, revenue recognition, retainage, and lien waivers.
• Strong Excel skills; Sage, Procore, or TimberScan experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, job costs, and monthly projections.
• Prepare owner billings, including AIA G702/G703.
• Manage retainage, lien waivers, and subcontractor compliance.
• Review and cost-code invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Support project forecasting, audits, reconciliations, and closeout.
