Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage client billings, including progress billing and retainage.
• Maintain accurate project records in the accounting system, including Sage Intacct or a similar ERP platform.
• Support Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and revenue recognition processes.
• Reconcile project accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Partner with Project Managers on budgets, change orders, and cost projections.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities related to projects.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, financial controls, and company policies.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who understands construction accounting, job costing, billing, and project financial controls, and who enjoys partnering closely with Project Managers and operational teams.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor project budgets, costs, and forecasts to ensure financial accuracy.
• Prepare and manage client billings, including progress billing and retainage.
• Maintain accurate project records in the accounting system, including Sage Intacct or a similar ERP platform.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, including job costing, WIP reporting, progress billing, retainage, and change order management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based industries.
• Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Excel required.

Compensation: $90,000-110,000 plus benefits.
