Job summary

CFS is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our growing construction team in North Billerica. The role is fully onsite and offers a salary range of $90,000-$105,000 plus a 3-8% bonus.

You will work closely with project managers and operations, handling project setup through closeout, monitoring budgets and profitability, and preparing WIP reports. This is a fast-paced environment with opportunity for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience with job costing and project-based accounting.
• Proficiency with Procore and accounting software systems.
• Strong understanding of construction billing, contracts, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting activities from project setup through closeout.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, commitments, and profitability.
• Prepare and analyze Work in Progress (WIP) reports.
• Review subcontractor invoices, change orders, and billing documentation.
• Process owner billings and support collections activities.
• Reconcile project costs and ensure accurate job costing.
• Partner with project managers to review financial performance and forecasts.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting within Procore.
• Support audits and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
