Job summary

Babich & Associates seeks a dedicated Project Accountant to manage financial tracking, vendor documentation, and accounting for major construction developments. The role ensures projects stay on schedule and within budget by coordinating with project managers and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and up to 1 year of construction workflow experience. Procore, Sage Intacct, Foundation, Acumatica, and CMiC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• 1 year of recent construction workflows preferred.
• Experience with subcontractor billing and cost tracking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly subcontractor AIA progress billings accurately.
• Generate weekly financial reports and cost-versus-budget analyses.
• Manage job setup, closeouts, budgeting updates, change orders, and cost logging.
• Oversee lien waiver collection and tracking for compliance.
• Draft and issue subcontracts and purchase orders with PMs.
• Maintain project file structures and submittal logs.
• Handle vendor administration including W-9s and COIs.

Established and stable Construction firm experiencing growth seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Project Accountant to manage financial tracking, vendor documentation, and accounting for major construction developments. This position is vital to keeping projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining seamless coordination between project managers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities Include:

• Process monthly subcontractor AIA progress billings accurately and efficiently.
• Generate weekly financial reports and perform detailed cost-versus-budget analyses for ongoing builds.
• Manage job setup, closeout procedures, budgeting updates, change orders, and cost logging.
• Oversee lien waiver collection and tracking to ensure compliance.
• Partner with Project Managers to draft and issue subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate project file structures and track submittal logs.
• Handle vendor administration, ensuring up-to-date tax forms (W-9s) and certificates of insurance (COIs).

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• Industry Knowledge: 1 year of recent construction workflows preferred.
• Software Skills: Procore, Sage Intacct, Foundation, Acumatica, CMic
