Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) for St. Joseph Warren Hospital in Warren, OH. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care in a PCU setting during day shifts in a part-time schedule (24 hours weekly).

Required: RN licensure in Ohio with 1 year of RN experience. Preferred: 6 months RN experience in acute care and BLS/ACLS certifications. Mercy Health offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1 year RN experience required.
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment; create a plan of care; implement treatment and evaluate effectiveness.
• Serve as point of contact for patients’ care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement.
• Administer medications in a safe manner per policy and practice guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
