Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit at St. Charles Hospital in Ohio. The RN will provide high‑quality care between Med‑Surg and ICU with leadership in patient assessment, care planning, and coordination.

Responsibilities include collaboration with the care team, medication administration, and ongoing safety and quality oversight. A BSN is preferred; current RN licensure and BLS/ACLS requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS (preferred at hire, ACLS required within 6 months)
• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze data, create a plan of care, implement treatment and evaluate effectiveness
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner in line with policies
• Other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred, not required)
