Job summary

Mercy Health’s St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) RN to deliver high-quality nursing care.

You will use strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and act as a bridge between Med-Surg and ICU units, ensuring timely and effective care coordination. You will develop and perform patient care plans, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, and collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred, not required.
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• ACLS/BLS certifications preferred or must obtain within specified time.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, create and update a plan of care.
• Serve as the patient care coordination contact across hospital departments.
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with policies.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement within the department.
