Job summary

Mercy Health’s St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care (Step down) unit. The RN delivers high‑quality care, uses leadership to assess patient status, and develops and executes care plans to improve outcomes.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, monitor patients, administer medications safely, and advocate for patient safety. Requirements include RN licensure, 1 year of RN experience, and BSN preferred; ACLS/BLS

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
• Current RN licensure in the state
• 1 year of RN experience required
• ACLS/BLS certifications preferred; ACLS within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates outcomes
• Serves as patient care coordination contact across hospital departments
• Advocate for patient safety by participating in quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications safely per policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
