Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care (Step Down) to monitor patient status, coordinate care across Med-Surg and ICU, and develop care plans that improve outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of RN experience (acute care preferred 6 months), a valid RN license, and BLS/ACLS qualifications; BSN preferred. This on-site role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment and create a plan of care.
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate by contributing to quality improvement.
• Administer medications safely according to policies.
