Job summary

The California Department of Justice is seeking a Program Technician II in the Imaging and Record Services Section to handle complex and sensitive documents for entry into the Automated Archive System (AAS). You will monitor and process Verification, Error Resolution, Expedite, and Final Resolution Queues within the JEDI system, and perform inquiries into ACHS, AAS, Folder Control System and JEDI.

You will ensure the completeness and accuracy of criminal history source documents.

Job Description And Duties

The Program Technician (PT) II in the Imaging and Record Services Section (IRSS) is responsible for processing the more complex and sensitive documents and workflows for entry into the Automated Archive System (AAS). The PT II also monitors and processes the Verification, Error Resolution, Expedite, and Final Resolution Queues within the primary scanning application, the Justice Electronic Document Imaging (JEDI) system. The PT II performs various inquiries and activities into the Automated Criminal History System (ACHS), AAS, Folder Control System, and JEDI. The PT II must determine the completeness and accuracy of criminal history source documents and be familiar with the criminal justice system and reporting processes for criminal history.

The PT II also provides training and second verification review of work produced by various levels of staff in the section, ensuring the final product meets content requirements as needed on the multiple workflows and processes.
