Job summary

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is seeking a Program Supervisor (Peer Support) to oversee Peer Support Specialists across Mobile Crisis Care and Adult Outpatient programs. The role focuses on supervision, program operations, staff development, and collaboration with partners to deliver non-clinical behavioral health services.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily operations, training staff, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Three years of increasingly responsible experience providing direct services to clients in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting, with one year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Equivalent to an associate degree with major coursework in public administration, behavioral health, psychology, sociology, or related field.
• Possession of a current Peer Support Specialist Certification is required at the time of appointment; California driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, supervises, coordinates, reviews, and participates in the work of Peer Support Specialists within an assigned program.
• Evaluates employee performance; counsels staff and recommends disciplinary actions as needed.
• Coordinates staff training, policy implementation, and guidance to staff on service delivery and trends.
• Prepares and submits budgets for assigned units; plans personnel, equipment, and space needs.
• Provides direct services to clients within scope of practice and supports care coordination.
• Collaborates with internal departments, external agencies, and community committees to meet community service needs.
