Job summary

Elwyn seeks a Program Supervisor to oversee assigned residences and ensure staffing, safety, and program delivery in alignment with participation requirements. You will lead direct staff, coordinate care plans, and maintain regulatory compliance while fostering a collaborative, client-centered environment.

Responsibilities include staff recruitment input, program development, incident prevention, and active participation in committees.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency; post-secondary education in human service field preferred
• Five (5) years' experience working with people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities; post-secondary education in human service field may be substituted for equivalent experience
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve problems in a creative, consistent manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities
• Demonstrated good judgment through cost-conscious awareness and independently solving problems and making decisions with little or no need for direct supervision
• Demonstrated knowledge of when to seek/solicit help or guidance from immediate supervisor or appropriate resource person
• Ability to performs duties in an independent manner, with little or no need for direct supervision
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective action
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills
• Must be able to perform and maintain certification of CPR and crisis intervention techniques using agency-trained protocols
• Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Experience using/knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred
• Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct support professionals (residential living staff, and/or certified nurse aide) in their duties
• Provide recommendations in recruiting, interviewing and selecting new staff
• Direct staff in development, implementation, and evaluation of programs to meet residents' needs
• Improve safety and quality by enforcing policies and addressing incidents
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and health services
• Maintain a clean and organized building
• Teach and implement building safety routines and PPE use
• Coordinate staffing and vehicle arrangements to meet medical appointments
• Record census in electronic health records
• Maintain vehicles and program areas according to health and safety standards
• Communicate program objectives to staff, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with management, staff, residents, and community
• Apply disciplinary actions per policy when needed
• Prioritize tasks with proper planning
• Provide written staff evaluations
• Ensure supervision coverage for individuals and care duties
• Complete timekeeping for staff
• Coach staff on daily living skills, problem-solving, and proactive supervision
• Assist in CPR/first aid and crisis intervention as needed
• Participate in Elwyn committees
• Review and communicate policy updates
• Meet quality standards and organizational goals
• Attend staff meetings and training
• Maintain open-door policy and encourage feedback
• Consult with administration on follow-up actions
• Use fiscal planning within budget
• Collaborate with union leadership on contracts
• Perform other duties as assigned
