Job summary

Chimes is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Arkansas to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity, independence, and confidence. You will supervise staff, ensure active treatment, and coordinate with program managers to maintain safe, compliant care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disability services preferred but training provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver019s license with clean driving history (see requirements).

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision, training, coaching, discipline, and performance evaluation to an assigned group of staff and persons served.
• Verifies staff attendance and ensures active treatment is provided.
• Ensures adequate staff coverage and arranges temporary staffing when needed.
• Assesses need for adaptive equipment and refers to appropriate manager.
• Ensures materials are ready at start of each shift and throughout program time.
• Documents incidents as needed.
• Uses crisis intervention skills in emergencies.
• Oversees staff development, including training and ongoing learning.
• Collaborates with manager to reduce turnover.
• Conducts visits/inspections to ensure contractual specifications are met.
• Ensures compliance with DOL regulations relating to persons served.
• Serves as a positive role model for employees.
