Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay is seeking a Program Specialist (Match Support) to supervise and coach Big/Little matches in alignment with BBBSA and BBBBSTB standards. You will work with volunteers, children, and families to ensure high-quality matches and strong safety protocols.
The role emphasizes conducting match meetings, monitoring outcomes, and maintaining risk management practices across in-person and remote interactions. Previous experience in child welfare is a plus.
The Program Specialist (Match Support) engages in collaborating directly with volunteers, children, and families for the purpose of creating, supporting, and sustaining high volume, high quality Big and Little matches.
Essential to the BBBS brand, the primary function of this position is to supervise, support, and coach matches according to a match support schedule that adheres to BBBSA and BBBSTB standards and policies. The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: volunteer yield and processing time; youth yield; youth/parent processing time, match closure and retention rates, average match length, and customer satisfaction.
Conducts introductory match meetings between volunteers and children at homes, schools, sites, virtually, or in the community. Ensure high-level proficiency in applying child safety and risk management knowledge, policies, and procedures throughout all aspects of job function. Identify child safety issues for volunteers, children, and their families.
