The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), School of SocialWork (SSW), is currently recruiting for a Program Specialist.
The Program Specialist will provide administrative and technicalsupport to the Behavioral Health Workforce Integration Service andEducation (BHWISE) projects within the School of Social Work.BHWISE trains MSW students to provide behavioral health services toindividuals from underserved populations with the goal ofincreasing and enhancing the workforce available to serve thesepopulations.
The School of Social Work is one of seven professional schools atthe University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), an urban health, lawand human services campus. The School ranks among the top twentyschools of social work in the nation. We also host two nationaltraining and technical assistance centers, a Child Welfare Academy,a Center on Positive Schools, and about $30,000,000 in extramuralprojects, in all. Currently UM SSW has about 300 employees.

Primary Duties
- Participates in general project planning and direction todevelop and facilitate the day-to-day activities and events for thefunded projects.
- Coordinates activities and functions of a designated program toensure that goals and objectives for specified program areaccomplished in accordance with established priorities, timelimitations, funding limitations, or other specifications.
- Prepare or assist in preparation of funding grant proposaland/or funding continuation from outside sponsors for theprogram.
- Coordinates activities such as survey completion, grantsubmission reviews, and other scheduled activities.
- Monitors and evaluates program operating policies andprocedures and metrics.
- Assists in conceptualization, development, and preparation ofwritten products such as training materials, website content, finalprogress reports, and promotional materials.
- Maintains the websites for the projects by ensuring thatcontent is relevant and current.
- Assists with the development and implementation of recruitingplan for program participants.
- Promotes the visibility of the projects as well as variouspromotional materials relevant to the work of the projects.
- Assists with compilation of information in selection of studentparticipants.
- Plan and coordinate workshops, meetings or conferences,coordinate logistics, scheduling and participantcommunication.
- Coordinates data collection, prepares meeting minutes, keepsrecords of program activities, and prepares reports as needed formanagement.
- Interacts with internal and external stakeholders of theuniversity and projects; Handles sensitive and confidentialinformation with tact and discretion.
- Remains current with and maximizes the use of technology forefficient processing, generation of reports, and the like.
- Thinks critically about all aspects of the program to resolvequestions and make decisions related to the program.
- Performs other administrative duties having a significantimpact on the overall goals and activities of the projects.
Qualifications :
Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience:
Two (2) years administrative or programcoordination experience.
Other:
Related experience to program may be substituted foreducation.

Hiring Range:
$61,000 - $70,000, commensurate with educationand experience.
