The University of Maryland School of Social Work is seeking an Associate Dean for Administration and Finance to lead and align budget, accounting, human resources, and facilities management with the School's mission.
Reporting to the Dean, this role partners with senior leaders to drive strategic planning, financial analysis, and compliance across the School. The position supports a hybrid work schedule and prioritizes diversity and inclusion in all operations.
The University of Maryland School of Social Work (SSW) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Dean for Administration and Finance to join their team.
Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean will provide leadership and strategic planning for the business operations in the School. Specifically, this position will have direct oversight and responsibility for budget/resource management, accounting, business services, research administration, human resource functions, and facilities management. The selected candidate will serve as a strategic partner with other senior School and Campus leaders to support and advance the overall mission of the School. The Associate Dean for Administration and Finance will be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment, thrive in a deadline-oriented workplace, and harness technology solutions in order to more quickly and efficiently support infrastructure and management needs within the School. It is the responsibility to ensure a diverse workforce and fair practices in all facets of the operation of his/her area.

UMB is a public university and constituent institution of the University System of Maryland. All employees are expected to work primarily physically within the State of Maryland. This position has a hybrid schedule allowing for one to two days of telework per week.
Education: Master's degree in finance, business administration, public administration, accounting or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of twelve (12) years spent progressively building a background in the various departmental functions. Experience in an academic health system or an institution of higher education is strongly preferred.
Supervisory Experience: Five (5) years of experience at a management/leadership level serving as a key strategic and business partner to a chief executive officer and as an integral member of a senior leadership team.

$231,000 to $245,000, commensurate with education and experience.
