S:US in New York is seeking an Assistant Program Director to supervise case management services for individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and substance use. In the Program Director’s absence, you will supervise all staff with the Regional Director.

Essential duties include directing staff, auditing progress notes, aligning person-centered plans with agency standards, coordinating with external agencies, and ensuring quality service delivery. Office in person in NYC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human service field.
• 3–5 years of experience with mental illness, substance use issues and homelessness.
• 2 years supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• MS Word/Excel proficiency.
• Experience with diverse populations preferred.
• Understanding of homelessness and related health issues.

Responsabilités

• Direct supervision of all program staff about case management and services.
• Audit consumer progress notes and service plans with clinical staff.
• Ensure plans reflect agency standards, person-centered and trauma-informed care.
• Maintain contact with service agencies and arrange client placements.
• Coordinate intake scheduling and interviews for new tenants.
• Orient and transition new tenants into the program.
• Participate in crisis intervention and report to stakeholders as needed.
• Support facilities staff to maintain apartment standards per funders.
• Provide emergency coverage and represent the agency in community linkages.
• Conduct supervisory meetings and document them regularly.
