Job summary

Services for the UnderServed in New York, NY seeks an Assistant Program Director to supervise case management for adults experiencing homelessness and mental illness. In the absence of the Program Director, you will supervise all program staff with the Regional Director.

You will oversee staff, ensure consumer service plans meet agency standards, and coordinate with treatment agencies, admissions, and crisis response. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field required.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
• Experience with homelessness and mental illness population.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of all program staff in case management and services.
• Audit consumer progress notes and service plans with clinical staff.
• Ensure service plans reflect agency standards, person-centered and trauma-informed.
• Coordinate with other agencies for client placement and treatment activities.
• Assist in intake scheduling and interviewing new tenants.
• Orient and transition new tenants into the program.
• Participate in crisis intervention and reporting as needed.
• Support facilities management to maintain apartment standards.
• Provide emergency coverage as necessary.
• Represent agency with community groups to develop linkages.
• Maintain supervisory meeting documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
