Job description

We are actively hiring a Program Manager for the Southeast Regional Crisis Center (SERCC) in Rochester, MN! This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about mission-driven work, aligning communities and regional partners to provide appropriate care for individuals experiencing mental health crises across southeast Minnesota.

Nexus Family Healing is a national nonprofit network of mental health agencies with over 45 years of experience restoring hope for children and families through outpatient/community mental health services, foster care, adoption, and residential treatment.

  • Full time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday day shift
  • On call as needed
  • Salary range $58,000 - 65,000

Position Summary: The Residential Program Manager supervises daily residential operations, providing leadership, direction, and oversight to Milieu Supervisors and staff. This role emphasizes communication, planning, collaboration, and operational effectiveness to support client treatment services.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Ensure staffing ratios are maintained to maximize treatment, ensure safety, and comply with licensing requirements.
  • Oversee planning and scheduling of daily treatment services, family contacts, visits, special events, community involvement, and transportation needs.
  • Identify and analyze program risk factors; develop and implement long-term solutions supporting program goals.
  • Participate in the evaluation of prospective clients.
  • Support staff and program readiness during admission and intake, ensuring smooth transitions that meet client and family needs.
  • Oversee staff implementation of safety plans, behavior plans, and care plans.
  • Monitor treatment delivery and follow-up within the program.
  • Contribute to risk management, quality improvement, and compliance initiatives.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures for program success.
  • Collaborate with leadership and HR to recruit, interview, and hire staff.
  • Supervise onboarding, training, mentoring, and staff development, coaching employees effectively.
  • Lead staff development in client issues, treatment plans, trauma, behavior management, and compliance standards.
  • Participate in on-call supervisory support as part of leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy policies.
  • Monitor safety, health codes, and procedures; conduct inspections and address safety concerns promptly.

Required Education and Licensure:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in residential treatment or similar settings.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with driving requirements.
