Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) AES seeks a Program Manager to lead eligibility unit supervisors and provide program and technical guidance. The role involves coaching teams, planning and monitoring services, and ensuring policy compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to travel up to 40% and work flexible hours as needed. Telework is available in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited college or university required; two years of customer service experience may substitute for education.
• A degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience in SNAP/Medicaid/Cash Assistance or related programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages eligibility unit supervisors and programs.
• Provides coaching and development to supervisors, workers, and staff.
• Develops, implements, and monitors AES programs while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Reviews staffing actions and prepares performance reports.
• Oversees travel and leave, payroll, and personnel actions.
• May require up to 40% travel and occasional overtime.
