Job summary

Northampton Community College is seeking a Program Manager for Community Education to plan, coordinate, and deliver personal enrichment programs. The role ensures operational effectiveness, fiscal integrity, and compliance with institutional, state, federal, and grant requirements.

The position focuses on instructor recruitment, scheduling, budget tracking, and engagement with students and partners to support enrollment growth and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in education, business, workforce development, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in program coordination, training, education, or workforce development.
• Experience with compliance, program operations, or instructional coordination preferred.
• Experience in lieu of education will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, scheduling, and coordination of community education programs.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing coordination of hourly instructors; monitor instructional quality and adherence to program standards.
• Track course enrollments and assist with decisions regarding course cancellations in alignment with departmental guidelines.
• Develop and monitor program budgets, tuition projections, and financial reports in coordination with the Assistant Director.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, and applicable state, federal, and grant requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between the department and students, instructors, and community partners.
• Provide high-quality customer service and resolve program-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with marketing and outreach efforts to promote programs and increase enrollment.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned in support of departmental and institutional goals.
