Job summary

Northampton Community College invites applications for a Business Engagement Specialist. This role builds and sustains partnerships with public and private sector organizations to advance NCC’s mission and regional economic growth.

You’ll market offerings such as programs, corporate training, facility rentals, and childcare services, while representing NCC at events and ensuring effective program delivery. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years in business

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Workforce Development, Education, or a closely related field is required.
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
3–5 years of progressive experience in business development or partnerships is expected.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain positive relationships with internal College departments and external business and industry partners.
Promote and market the College’s partnership opportunities, including educational programs, corporate training, facility rentals, and childcare services.
Identify and secure new business and industry collaborations.
Represent the College at regional and national events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Provide consultative support to companies to assess workforce development needs and propose relevant College offerings.
Coordinate and support business advisory boards to address workforce skill gaps.
Ensure timely submission of reports and maintain organized records of partner communications and contracts.
