Job summary

Devereux New Jersey is seeking a Program Manager to lead a group home in Mount Royal, NJ. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, plan engaging developmental activities, and coordinate transportation and outings for individuals in care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid non-provisional driver’s license.
• Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• One year of supervisory experience in a child/adult behavioral health care agency.
• Two years experience with individuals with disabilities in a community setting preferred.
• Empathetic with a team approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement occupational, recreational, social and other developmental plans for each individual.
• Ensure facilities are well-maintained and present Devereux as a good neighbor.
• Oversee staff including hiring, performance, attendance, payroll accuracy and training compliance.
• Ensure all shifts are adequately covered.
• Supervise planning, implementation and documentation of programs to meet needs.
• Plan and participate in group outings for individuals.
• Manage shopping for home necessities (food, clothing, household items).
• Schedule and transport individuals to doctor visits, shopping trips and day programs.
