Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Mount Royal, NJ is seeking a Program Manager to lead a group home and coordinate occupational, recreational, social and developmental plans for individuals in our care.

You will supervise staff, ensure shifts are covered, and promote a collaborative, servant-leadership culture while delivering high-quality services with a focus on safety and community integration.

Salary range is $58,000–$68,000 annually with benefits starting on day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED; bachelor’s in a related field preferred.
• Valid non-provisional driver’s license.
• Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• One year of supervisory experience in a child/adult behavioral health care agency.
• Two years' experience working with individuals with disabilities in a community setting preferred.
• Empathetic with a team approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements occupational, recreational, social and other developmental plans for individuals in their care.
• Ensures program facilities are well-maintained and welcoming to the community.
• Supervises staff including hiring, performance management, attendance, payroll accuracy and training compliance.
• Ensures shifts are adequately covered within the program.
• Plans, implements and documents programs addressing social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plans and participates in group outings for individuals.
• Manages shopping for home necessities (food, clothing, items).
• Schedules and transports individuals to appointments, shopping trips, and day programs/schools.
