Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking an Associate Project Director to lead and oversee First Line Leaders and Sales Professionals, driving program results and talent development across the franchise. You will partner with senior leaders to ensure execution of strategic plans, manage performance, and align with client expectations.

You will mentor leaders, guide performance improvements, and steward recruitment, onboarding, and retention while ensuring regulatory compliance and budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales and sales leadership.
• 5+ years managing sales representatives and 2+ years managing First Line Leaders.
• Experience leading cross-functional workstreams or functional roles (e.g., Operations, Training, Marketing).
• Strong cross-functional influence, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in interpreting performance data and translating insights into actions.
• Working knowledge of promotional compliance expectations in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for First Line Leaders and Sales Professionals.
• Partner with National Business Director and stakeholders to deliver project goals and client expectations.
• Coach and develop leaders to improve team performance and retention.
• Diagnose performance gaps and execute action plans to improve results.
• Oversee talent selection, onboarding, evaluation, and retention for sales roles.
• Monitor budgets and travel spend, ensuring adherence to client policies.
• Translate data/insights into recommendations with strategy and analytics teams.
• Support risk management and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
