Job summary

ACCEL Schools Online is seeking a Program Director to lead the launch and first-year operations of an online school, focusing on instructional leadership and operational excellence. You will collaborate with partners and the ACCEL team to align school procedures with organizational goals while ensuring compliance with state laws.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Administration, or Organizational Leadership.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a successful teacher.
• Two years’ experience as an Instructional Coach, Teacher Leader, or related position in an online school preferred.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience using multiple data sources to assess student performance and plan instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school team through launch and the first year of operations.
• Oversee school functions: records, testing, attendance, personnel, finance and facilities.
• Design programs to foster family engagement across distances.
• Provide feedback, PD and coaching for teachers in instructional practices.
• Monitor student achievement data to inform instruction.
• Coordinate special projects and ensure compliance with laws.
