Job summary

ACCEL is seeking a Head of School to serve as the operational and administrative leader for Pathfinder Career Academy and Ohio-based virtual schools. The role focuses on achieving the academic vision, advancing students, and guiding daily operations with a focus on professional development and curriculum advancement.

The HOS will collaborate with the School Board and national teams to ensure alignment with policy and accountability requirements, while building community partnerships and

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education or a closely related field or Education Administrative Experience.
• Current Ohio Administrative and Teacher licenses required.
• At least 10 years of experience in Education, 5 years’ experience as K-12 administrator.
• Three or more years of experience working in an online school in an instructional role.
• Three or more years of experience with OH CTE, including creating and maintaining external partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership exhibiting professionalism and high academic standards that celebrate student and staff achievements.
• Manage and lead the school leadership team in day-to-day operation.
• Collaborate with the School Board on implementation of school vision and policy creation.
• Oversee Career Technical Education programming and unique career pathways.
• Collaborate with industry and higher education partners to create post-secondary opportunities.
• Develop plans and policies for the educational program and ensure compliance with laws.
• Coordinate school budget and enrollment plans with ACCEL Finance.
• Lead school marketing and enrollment efforts to maintain capacity.
• Serve as public relations liaison between ACCEL and the school community.
