Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking a Program Director in North Carolina to lead a school through launch and the first year, focusing on operational excellence, student engagement and academic achievement. The role requires collaboration with partners, oversight of records, testing, attendance, personnel, and facilities.

You will design family-engagement programs, coach teachers, and use data to drive instructional improvements while ensuring compliance with state laws.

Qualifications

• Live in North Carolina.
• Master's degree in Education, Administration, or Organizational Leadership.
• Minimum five years of teaching experience.
• Two years in a instructional coach/teacher-leader role in online settings preferred.
• Proven ability to build relationships with staff, students, parents, boards and authorizers.
• Track record of increasing student achievement on state tests.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school team through launch and first year of operations.
• Collaborate with partner organizations and authorizers.
• Oversee records, testing, attendance, truancy, personnel, office & finance and facilities.
• Design programs to foster family engagement across distances.
• Provide coaching and feedback to teachers on instructional practices.
• Use multiple data sources to identify barriers and drive instructional improvement.
• Coordinate special projects and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
• Stay current on education policies and sponsor requirements.
