Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Principal Analyst, Program Cost Controls (P3) to support the NASAMS portfolio within the Land and Air Defense SBU. The role focuses on EAC development, variance analysis, and EVMS-driven cost/schedule control using APEX/SAP tools.

The successful candidate will oversee material execution finance for multiple programs, perform cost analysis, and contribute to cost estimates for new business proposals while mentoring peers in the OSC team.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent; 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience using SAP Business System.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis including costs, risks and opportunities at the Program and SBU level.
• Perform detailed financial analysis for total program and SBU cost elements to explain variances to plans and forecasts.
• Prepare program financial forecasts, monitor actual costs, and explain variances to plans and forecasts.
• Assist in developing cost estimates for new business proposals and provide rationale for basis of estimates.
• Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in APEX/SAP; Budget preparation and monthly Earned Value reporting.
• Support and train OSC teammates when manager/lead is unavailable; review and lead process improvement projects.
