Job summary

Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking an OPS Government Analyst I to coordinate The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and Commodity Supplemental Program (CSFP). The role involves guiding agencies, distributing USDA foods, and ensuring program compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 7 years of related experience, or
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience, or
• Master’s degree with 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as coordinator for TEFAP and CSFP programs and guides agencies and the public.
• Manages allocation, ordering, and distribution of USDA Foods for TEFAP and CSFP.
• Collaborates with USDA and communicates with agencies, vendors, and distributors.
• Performs data collection, surveys, and analyses to inform reports.
• Provides training and technical assistance on program compliance and procedures.
• Handles inquiries and maintains program records and reports.
• Supports emergency management functions during disasters.
