Job summary

NYC Department of Social Services is seeking two Community Coordinators to act as EFAP Coordinators within the Emergency Food Connection. You will supervise staff, monitor SNAP outreach, and ensure compliance across NYC food programs.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and 2 years in community work, with strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple projects across the five boroughs.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple projects and field schedules across five boroughs.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and funding to about 600 emergency food programs.
• Facilitate and monitor SNAP outreach throughout the network.
• Monitor SNAP outreach services by contracted vendors.
• Supervise EFAP Community Associates and provide technical guidance.
• Represent EFAP in meetings, and prepare surveys and reports on program activity.
