Job summary

Aquent Talent is seeking a Project Coordinator to support its North America retail stores program. You will serve as the single source of truth for timelines, coordinating with design, operations, and marketplace teams to keep new store builds, remodels, and pop-ups moving on schedule.

The role involves building and maintaining trackers, delivering leadership-ready updates, and participating in portfolio reviews.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a program management or project coordination role.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and manage complex schedules.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to translate project status into polished PowerPoint or Keynote updates.
  • Expertise across Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
  • Consistent track record of hitting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the source of record for all workstreams and timelines tied to new and remodeled stores, plus pop-ups and activations.
  • Align with stakeholders across brand, design, and operations teams to gather and distribute critical tasks, requirements, and deadlines.
  • Build and maintain a project tracking tool in Airtable (or similar) that clearly identifies key gates, dates, and workstreams across all projects.
  • Publish weekly tracking documents that are clean, digestible, and leadership-ready.
  • Deliver clear project updates in PowerPoint or Keynote.
  • Provide inputs into broader enterprise tracking mechanisms.
  • Participate in recurring portfolio reviews, weekly status sessions, and cross-team working meetings.
  • Stores Project Tracker covering construction, fixture, product, and delivery dates and gates. Published weekly.
  • Pop-Up Project Tracker covering business and brand dates and gates. Published weekly.
  • Inputs into broader company-wide tracking systems

Job description

A global athletic apparel and footwear brand is looking for a Project Coordinator to support its North America retail stores program. This person is the connective tissue between two internal brand teams, gathering information, dates, and data across workstreams to keep new store builds, remodels, and pop‑up activations moving on schedule.

The client is opening and refreshing a significant number of stores over the next year. You will own the single source of record for project timelines and support the store design process end to end.

What You'll Do

What You Bring
Required
  • 5+ years in a program management or project coordination role
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build and manage complex schedules
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication
  • Ability to translate project status into polished PowerPoint or Keynote updates
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort surfacing both wins and risks to stakeholders
  • Expertise across the Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
  • Consistent track record of hitting deadlines
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (not a hard requirement)
  • PMP certification (nice to have, not required)
  • Project management experience on brick and mortar retail projects, national brands preferred
  • Background in the athletic, apparel, or footwear industry
  • Experience in retail development, construction, or retail fixtures and elements

This contract role is expected to last approximately 6 months from the start date and may involve 1-2 domestic trips.
