JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to ensure the effective
delivery of program services, activities, and initiatives. The position serves as a central resource
for coordinating communications, finances, records, reporting, and stakeholder engagement while
supporting the day-to-day execution of program operations. Through effective coordination of
people, processes, and resources, the role helps maintain efficient operations and supports the
achievement of program goals and objectives.
DUTIES:
- Coordinates program activities and serves as a liaison with university departments, community
advisors, partners, and other stakeholders to support program goals and initiatives. - Plans, coordinates, and supports daily program and office operations, including scheduling
activities, maintaining workflows, and providing guidance to staff and student employees. - Prepares, processes, and maintains business and administrative documents in accordance
with university and departmental policies and procedures, including financial, personnel,
purchasing, travel, payroll, and other operational records. - Establishes, maintains, and organizes program records, reports, presentations, policies,
procedures, and other documentation to support program administration and compliance. - Coordinates program budgets and financial activities, including monitoring expenditures,
reconciling accounts, processing financial transactions, supporting contract administration,
and maintaining related records. - Coordinates recruitment, outreach, registration, onboarding, and communication activities to
promote participation and support program operations. - Collects, tracks, analyzes, and reports program data and performance metrics to support
assessment, reporting, decision-making, and continuous improvement efforts. - Provides administrative and operational support for program initiatives, events, projects, and
special activities.
MARGINAL DUTIES:
- Performs and coordinates program-specific functions, services, activities, and operational
responsibilities that support the unique goals and requirements of the assigned program.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of related job experience
License/Certification: Must maintain a valid, current driver's license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge in specific program
- Knowledge in financial and database software

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position
Skills:
- Candidates must have strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well
as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Abilities:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and the ability to undertake
complex planning - Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and
constituencies in a diverse community - Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies/procedures where
specified guidelines may not exist
WORK LOCATION AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Primary WorkLocation:
- Works in an office environment.
Physical Demands:
- Work is performed in a typical interior work environment which
does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements. - Individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing etc., and
has minimal exposure to physical risks. - May be required to work evenings, weekends, or outside normal
business hours to support program activities and events. - May be required to travel in support of program initiatives, outreach
activities, training, conferences, or stakeholder engagement.
