Job summary

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a Program Billing Specialist to coordinate monthly billing for clients in the custody of state agencies, receive SS benefits, and bill for family support and related services. You will also manage deposits for thrift store and vehicle sales and ensure AR sub-ledger reconciliation with the general ledger.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of bookkeeping experience, and strong PC/software skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong PC and software knowledge.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly billing for clients in the custody of state agencies or receiving benefits.
• Print aging reports and reconcile AR sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly aging reports on uncollected charges and perform follow-up.
• Collaborate with staff to resolve billing problems.
• Maintain contracts and stay current with software updates affecting state contracts.
• Enter daily Thrift Store and Vehicle sales and related deposits.
• Enter AR bank deposits and backup Medicaid billing as needed.
• Reconcile Echo aging with FE aging and assist with accounts payable when needed.
• Enter CSAA billing and Boys Ranch School scholarships and coordinate funds.
