Job summary

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a Program Billing Specialist to coordinate billing for Residential Family Support, DCF, CBC contracts, Social Security benefits, Medicaid, and related deposits. You will enter daily transactions for thrift store and vehicle sales and serve as a backup for accounts payable duties.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of bookkeeping experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess integrity and professionalism in duties.
• Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, graphs, and databases.
• Analytical, math, and grammar skills to meet Youth Ranches Skills Test.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as manuals.
• Ability to handle confidential information and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly billing for clients in DCF custody or receiving benefits.
• Prepare monthly aging report and reconcile AR sub-ledgers with the general ledger.
• Follow up on billing issues and work with staff to resolve problems.
• Maintain current contracts and monitor software changes affecting contracts.
• Enter AR deposits and reconcile with the general ledger; backup AP duties.
