Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or four years’ relevant experience.
• Minimum three years sales experience
• Minimum two years’ managerial experience or proven leadership abilities.
• Life/Health Insurance licensing required within 18 months of entry (training provided).
• M&T Business Banking Specialist within 18 months of hire.
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services and client relationship management.
• M&T Way Certified
• Precision Leadership Certified; Bi-lingual/Spanish preferred
• Proficiency with common PC software and Microsoft Office for word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Direct sales and business development to meet annual goals.
• Coach and develop branch staff and manage performance.
• Identify Retail and Business Banking needs using M&T processes and provide solutions.
• Prospect and grow Business Banking relationships in the community.
• Conduct hires and staffing decisions per staffing model.
• Model and coach customer service and risk-aware decision making.
• Ensure compliance with banking guidelines and risk controls.
• Own complex account servicing and escalation resolution.
• Engage with team members and business partners across the bank.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $100,000.
