Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Lead Dedicated Logistics Manager to own account profitability and day-to-day operations including driver management, load planning, and customer service. You will supervise office staff and drivers, focus on driver retention, and work toward safety and efficiency goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business-related field and 1–2 years of dedicated logistics management experience with KPI performance. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing, Management, or Transportation/Logistics or equivalent
• 1–2 years Dedicated Logistics Manager experience with strong KPI performance
• Fleet of at least 50 and minimum two Transportation Managers reporting to this role
• 2–3 years customer service experience preferred
• 2–3 years transportation experience preferred
• AS400 and PC experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Overall Account Management of profitability, revenue, invoicing, personnel management, driver turnover, fleet sizing, load planning, and direct/on-site customer interaction
• Daily supervision of office personnel and drivers assigned to the account
• Focus on driver training and retention; responsible for profitability and growth
• Maximize asset utility with idle reduction and mpg improvement strategies
• Assign drivers to loads using load information and communication tools
• Ensure safety compliance and promote a safety culture across operations
• Interface with billing, safety, payroll, maintenance and other departments; coordinate HR tasks and reporting
