Werner Enterprises, Inc. in Bessemer, AL is seeking a Dedicated Logistics Manager to own the profitability of a dedicated account through load planning, driver management, and customer service.

You will supervise office personnel and drivers, focus on training and retention, and drive safe, compliant operations. The role involves managing invoicing, fleet sizing, and key KPI performance, coordinating with billing, risk, safety, and maintenance, and ensuring strong customer relations at on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 2–3 years customer service experience preferred.
• 2–3 years transportation experience preferred.
• 1–2 years AS400 and PC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overall Account Management of key factors such as account profitability, revenue generation, invoicing, personnel management, driver turnover, fleet sizing, load planning, and direct/onsite customer interaction.
• Daily supervision of office personnel (0-10 employees) and drivers (1-200 employees) assigned to respective account.
• Continually focusing on driver training and driver retention.
• Responsible for account profitability and growth.
• Maximize asset utility while focusing on idle reduction and mpg improvement strategies.
• Assigning drivers to loads by optimizing load information with driver needs and availability.
• Demonstrates a commitment to safety and compliance with rules and regulations.
• Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with drivers, internal associates and customers.
• Interface with departments such as billing, safety, payroll, maintenance and external vendors.
