Build Business Insight That Matters
As a Professional Services Business Operations Intern at Esri, you will contribute to work that helps teams plan, operate, and deliver services effectively. You will gain practical experience in business analysis, process improvement, project coordination, reporting, and collaboration across teams while supporting Professional Services and Esri's mission.
What You'll Experience
- Collaborate with mentors and team members who help Professional Services operate effectively.
- Support business planning, project coordination, reporting, process documentation, and efforts to improve how work is completed.
- Participate in structured training on Professional Services operations, cost and schedule fundamentals, business reporting and analysis, project processes, financial processes, collaboration tools, and professional development.
- Apply training through practical assignments and projects supported by mentors.
- Use Microsoft 365 applications and business systems to organize information, analyze data, and present clear findings.
- Work with different teams to understand how financial, staffing, vendor, project, and operational information informs business decisions.
- Build professional communication, organization, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through real work.
Real Projects Interns May Work On
- Develop reports, tracking tools, presentations, or dashboards that help leaders understand business performance and priorities.
- Document and improve operational processes, onboarding resources, workflow guides, and shared reference materials.
- Support accounting and finance activities, including invoice, vendor, subcontractor, staffing, scheduling, and project administration processes.
- Analyze business data, identify trends, and summarize findings for team or leadership discussions.
- Coordinate activities across teams and help maintain accurate, easy-to-find information in shared systems.

We're Excited to Meet Students Who
- Are currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate, graduate, or PhD program at a university in the United States, pursuing a degree in business administration, operations management, finance, accounting, information systems, data analytics, project management, or a related field, with an expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- If enrolled in an undergraduate program, are currently in their junior or senior year.
- Have relevant coursework or experience, or a strong interest in business operations, accounting, finance, process improvement, data analysis, project coordination, or related areas.
- Have experience using Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint. Familiarity with SAP is a plus but not required.
- Are curious, collaborative, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable communicating with people across the organization.
- Can complete a consecutive, 12-week onsite internship beginning in May or June 2027 in Redlands, California.
- Are authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this internship takes into account education level and previous relevant work experience, including specialized skill sets. Interns who meet minimum qualifications during their internship may also qualify for a 401(k) plan and profit sharing. A reasonable estimate of the base pay range is $26 to $30 per hour.
