Job summary

Esri is offering a Global Business Development Internship to help customers understand how GIS addresses business challenges. You will work with account managers and solution engineers, contribute to customer-focused projects, and build skills in business development and technology-driven problem solving.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in consultative sales, customer engagement, and ArcGIS usage, with mentorship and exposure to Esri’s sales and technical teams.

Global Business Development Internship

Help Organizations Solve Problems That Matter

As a Global Business Development Intern at Esri, you will help customers understand how GIS can address real-world business challenges. You will work alongside account manager and solution engineering professionals, contribute to meaningful customer-focused projects, and build practical skills in business development, relationship management, and technology-enabled problem solving.

What You’ll Experience

• Learn how Esri’s account teams support customers across industries and markets.

• Collaborate with account managers, inside sales representatives, solution engineers, and other business partners.

• Support customer engagement and business development activities through research, outreach, presentations, demonstrations, or sales follow-up.

• Build familiarity with ArcGIS and learn how geospatial technology helps organizations make better decisions.

Real Projects Interns Have Worked On

• Research a market, industry, or customer segment and identify potential opportunities for Esri technology.

• Support inbound customer inquiries, sales leads, or account planning activities through email, phone, chat, and research.

• Create maps, workflows, demonstrations, presentations, or other materials that communicate the value of GIS.

• Develop customer-facing content or recommendations that help a sales team address a business challenge or emerging opportunity.

• Are currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate, graduate, or PhD program at a university in the United States, majoring in GIS, geography, GEOINT, Data Science, or Business graduating in 2027 or 2028.

• For undergraduate students,arein junior or senior standing.

• Have strong written, verbal, and presentation skills and an interest in customer engagement.

• Are curious, collaborative, and interested in learning how technology supports customer and business outcomes.

• Can complete a consecutive, onsite 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2027.

Compensation and Benefits

• The pay range for this internship takes into accounteducationlevel and previous relevant work experience, including specialized skill sets. Interns who meet minimum qualifications during their internship may also qualify for 401(k) and profit share. A reasonable estimate of the base pay range is $27-$33ph.
