Build Customer Success That Matters

As a Technical Support Intern at Esri, you will work with experienced professionals who help customers successfully use ArcGIS and make smart geospatial decisions. You will research problems, test solutions, collaborate with analysts, and build practical customer-support and GIS skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Experience

• Sharpen your ArcGIS knowledge through training, collaboration, product demonstrations, and real customer-support workflows.
• Assist analysts by researching and testing real-world customer issues.
• Shadow experienced Technical Support Analysts by observing calls, troubleshooting, testing, and working with ArcGIS products.
• Collaborate with leads to review potential software defects and support product-quality conversations.
• Deliver ArcGIS product presentations and a final project.

Real Projects Interns May Work On

• Research customer problems, perform tests, and brainstorm with analysts to solve cases.
• Apply technical support, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills to practical scenarios.

• Are currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate, graduate, or PhD program at a university in the United States, majoring in GIS, geography, environmental science, computer science, information technology, or another relevant STEM field graduating in 2027 or 2028.
• For undergraduate students, are in junior or senior standing.
• Bring excellent customer service, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Are curious, collaborative, and interested in learning through real customer-support work.
• Can complete a consecutive, onsite 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2027.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this internship takes into account education level and previous relevant work experience, including specialized skill sets. Interns who meet minimum qualifications during their internship may also qualify for 401(k) and profit share. A reasonable estimate of the base pay range is $29ph.
