Job summary

Esri is seeking a Business Analyst Intern in Information Technology to convert business needs into actionable requirements and learn how technology teams translate those requirements into solutions.

You will collaborate with analysts, developers, and business partners to understand system challenges and shape practical solutions during a 12-week onsite internship starting in May or June 2027. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year bachelor's, master's, or PhD program at a U.S. university, graduating in 2027 or 2028.
  • Undergraduate students should be in junior or senior standing.
  • Preferably expect to graduate in 2027.
  • Bring process-driven analysis skills and experience or coursework in requirements gathering methods.
  • Can verbally communicate business details and requirements, take ownership of requirements, and clearly communicate them to a technical team.
  • Can understand technical concepts and explain them in clear, accessible language.
  • Can complete a consecutive, onsite 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2027.
  • Are authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this posting.

As a Business Analyst Intern at Esri, you will work with analysts, developers, and business partners to understand system-related challenges and help shape practical solutions. You will build experience translating business needs into clear requirements while learning how technology teams bring those requirements to life.

What You'll Experience
  • Gather requirements through interviews, document analysis, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, and task or workflow analysis.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this internship takes into account education level and previous relevant work experience, including specialized skill sets. Interns who meet minimum qualifications during their internship may also qualify for 401(k) and profit share. A reasonable estimate of the base pay range is $26-$30ph.
