Amrize North America Inc. at the Alpena Cement Plant MI is seeking a capable shift operator who can multitask, understand equipment operation, and perform mechanical tasks during demanding shifts.

You will inspect machinery, address safety issues, ensure quality parameters follow Amrize and ASTM guidelines, and participate in daily start-up and maintenance activities. The role requires an Associates/Technical Degree and flexibility to work weekends and holidays, with a strong commitment to

Qualifications

• Multitask effectively across shift needs.
• Perform mechanical tasks and understand equipment operation.
• Conduct inspections and address safety/maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

• Identify environmental issues during daily shift operations.
• Provide troubleshooting and process change recommendations based on test results.
• Perform shift and pre-start inspections; ensure safety and maintenance issues are addressed.
• Maintain quality parameters per Amrize and ASTM guidelines.
• Measure silos and maintain raw material flow; report problems.
• Operate mobile equipment (skid loader, forklift, etc.).
• Work weekends and paid holidays as schedules dictate.
