Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a production-oriented individual for the Alpena Cement Plant in Michigan. The role involves multitasking across shift operations, performing mechanical tasks, and ensuring equipment operation and inspections are completed.

The position can be physically demanding and may require overtime. You will troubleshoot processes, maintain quality parameters, manage material flow, and operate typical site machinery while adhering to all safety regulations and PPE

Qualifications

• Must have basic mechanical aptitude and be able to interpret equipment operation and inspection results.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Ability to multitask and work extended shifts, including weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct environmental issues noted during daily shift operations.
• Provide troubleshooting and process changes recommendations based on test results.
• Perform shift and pre-start inspections and address safety or maintenance issues on equipment.
• Ensure quality parameters are maintained in accordance with Amrize and ASTM procedures.
• Measure silos and maintain material flow in hoppers, tanks and feeders; report blockages or issues.
• Operate mobile equipment (skid steer, forklift, telehandler, etc.) as required.
• Communicate and adhere to health, safety and environmental policies across all work areas.
