Job summary

Amrize is seeking a hands-on, safety-minded operator at the Alpena Cement Plant in MI. The role requires handling mechanical tasks, operating equipment, and performing inspections to support continuous production and environmental compliance.

You will troubleshoot issues, report blockages, measure silos, and maintain material flow. The job requires physical work, safety-first practices, and willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Associates/Technical Degree preferred.
• Ability to multitask across shift duties.
• Willingness to work long hours including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct environmental issues noted during daily shift operations.
• Provide troubleshooting and process changes recommendations based on test results.
• Perform shift and pre-start inspections and ensure safety/maintenance issues are addressed.
• Ensure quality parameters throughout processes per Amrize and ASTM guidelines.
• Measure silos as needed.
• Maintain raw material flow in hoppers, tanks and feeders, including manual clearing of blockages.
• Clean around raw material hoppers, coke tunnel and finish mill feeders as needed.
• Work any shift, including weekends and paid holidays.
