Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Production Technician to maintain and inspect grinding and related equipment across North America. The role involves monitoring material flow, operating valves, and performing repairs to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

You will work in a labor-intensive environment, rotating 12-hour shifts, with exposure to extreme temperatures and dusty conditions. Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must work outdoors in extreme temperatures and dusty environments.
• Able to work rotating 12-hour shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must lift 75–100 lbs regularly and pass a physical fit test.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular visual inspections of weighing, grinding, blending, conveying, kiln, and cooling equipment.
• Monitor material flow from raw storage to mills, silos, kiln, and clinker storage.
• Operate valves, slides and gates to control material flow as directed.
• Measure and report bin, tank, and silo levels to supervisors.
• Assist with preheater tower and kiln inlet scaling and minor repairs.
• Support maintenance with repairs and communicate malfunctions.
• Clean work areas and assist with mixing additives during finish grinding.
• Start auxiliary motors and ensure systems run per directions.
• Maintain communication with production teams and supervisors about equipment status.
• Operate heavy equipment (wheel loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, forklifts, manlifts) as required.
