Job summary

Magna Electronics is seeking a dedicated team member to support production operations and ensure quality products. The role covers rotation scheduling, quality checks, data collection, attendance management, and rapid response to line issues on the production floor.

You will work closely with supervisors and teammates to meet safety standards, maintain 5S, and participate in troubleshooting, standard work, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Can successfully complete a SWA.
• Knows the importance and application of uptime and attainment.
• Can effectively use conflict mediation and follow the proper escalation process when dealing with personal matters
• Maintains confidentiality and practices proper business etiquette while on the job Capable of learning and performing all team jobs.
• Must support safety policies and practices that apply to assigned area.
• Must have demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn basic PM and minor machine adjustment.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to interpret data for corrective actions.
• Ability to make production rates and quality standards.
• Able to operate/utilize all job-related equipment. Equipment may include drivers, hand tools, computer knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise.
• Standing/walking for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift up to 25+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Develops a rotation schedule and ensures it is followed. May temporarily fill in for production operators.
• Performs quality checks in assigned area, including charting, visual audits, functional audits, and scrap audits; uses measuring devices to assure quality.
• Calculates and collects data to ensure quality of the product.
• Verifies attendance and recommends solutions for filling vacancies to Supervisor.
• Provides first response to line problems and coordinates with resources to resolve them.
• Completes stand work audits weekly.
• Facilitates teams through problem-solving and uses Fact-Based Problem-Solving methodologies.
• Coaches and instructs team members to achieve production performance.
• Trains and oversees training of team members per standardized work and job instruction methods.
• Develops job breakdown and standardized work processes with team.
• Performs time studies and takt time charting.
• Ensures build sequence follows documented standardize work.
• Facilitates efficient meetings to foster continuous improvement.
• Verifies proper part numbers and labels are used.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance and minor machine adjustments.
• Observes safety policies and locates HazMat labels and MSDS files.
• Provides daily updates to Supervisor and assists with accident reports.
• Communicates with the team to achieve production goals.
• Maintains 5S in the workplace.
