Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions seeks a Production Supervisor for an on-site role in Trenton, MI. You will oversee small teams in a high-volume, unionized plant, driving safety, quality, and throughput improvements while promoting a lean culture and continuous improvement.

You will lead Kaizen projects, manage staffing and absenteeism, and mentor Team Leaders to maintain performance metrics in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• Experience supervising in high-volume environments and lean manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage small work teams in a high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality, and throughput targets are met.
• Coordinate activities to achieve business metrics and implement lean processes, including safety, cost, quality, and throughput improvements.
• Lead safety initiatives, enforce safety tools and procedures, and promote a safe workplace culture.
• Analyze quality KPIs, prioritize quality issues, and guide Team Leaders in problem-solving activities.
• Build and train teams, allocate manpower effectively, manage absenteeism, and develop team members.
• Participate in and lead kaizen projects to reduce waste and improve overall performance.
