Job summary

Bradford White in Middleville, MI is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor to lead 30–50 UAW hourly employees in a fast-paced, high-volume assembly environment.

You will develop teams, drive continuous improvement, and implement product and engineering changes while prioritizing safety and quality. Union relations and training will be key aspects of daily supervision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Manufacturing Supervisory experience.
• Experience in Six Sigma/Lean processes.
• Must be comfortable wearing a respirator in some areas.
• Previous supervisory experience in a union environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience in high-volume, medium mix assembly is preferred.
• 2 or 4-year degree is preferred.

• Develop and lead a team to achieve operations, quality, and continuous improvement goals through training, coaching, subject area, and effective communications
• Champion the use of continuous improvement tools to reduce downtime, improve quality, reduce scrap, and achieve labor efficiency targets
• Implement product and engineering changes successfully
• Model and promote adherence to environmental, health and safety policies and initiatives
• Ensure safety is top priority
• Monitor work order progress and drives quality and timeliness of completion
• Maintain time and attendance
• Maintain working relationship with union by following the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
